Nghe An strives to mobilize more than 48 billion VND to support the poor for Tet Mau Tuat 2018
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 2, the Organizing Committee of the Program "Tet for the Poor - Mau Tuat 2018" held a meeting to discuss solutions to mobilize support for the poor during the Mau Tuat Tet holiday.Comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference.
Based on the evaluation of the results of the Tet for the Poor in Dinh Dau year 2017, it is expected that in Tet Mau Tuat 2018, in addition to Nghe An, the Organizing Committee will mobilize more through businesses, philanthropists and fellow countrymen associations in some large provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, etc.
The recipients of Tet gifts are not only poor households but also near-poor households with illnesses and difficulties; the form of gift giving can be directly sent by agencies or units or transferred to the account of the Provincial Mobilization Committee for the Organizing Committee to regulate.

At the meeting, the program's Organizing Committee assigned specific responsibilities to each member in mobilizing, urging, and organizing propaganda to attract the attention of agencies and organizations, thereby joining hands in responding to implementation.
Based on the advantages and disadvantages, the Organizing Committee set a call goal to reach and exceed the previous year's level (Tet Dinh Dau 2017 received 48 billion VND), striving to ensure each gift is worth 500 thousand VND.

In his speech, Mr. Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested members of the Organizing Committee of Tet for the Poor to actively mobilize and urge to achieve and exceed the mobilization target of 2017.
Regarding the method of organizing the mobilization, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed to expand the calling and mobilization area but there must be a more specific method; the calling program on television needs to be organized economically, paying attention to typical image content to attract generosity; carefully consider expanding the subjects of giving Tet gifts to near-poor households because the subjects are quite large and propose a contribution rate of 30% to the Provincial Fund for the Poor; balance to ensure that every poor household has Tet;.../.
