The power of a true Party

(Baonghean.vn) - The Party has recognized serious shortcomings and is making efforts to correct and overcome them.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh taught: A Party that conceals its shortcomings is a failed Party. A Party that dares to acknowledge its shortcomings, clearly identifies them, understands their origins, examines the circumstances that gave rise to them, and then seeks every way to correct them—that is a progressive, courageous, steadfast, and genuine Party.

The efforts in Party building and rectification aimed at combating degradation and purifying the Party's ranks in recent times have clearly shown one thing: the Party has recognized serious shortcomings and is striving to correct and overcome them.

Just like a person, to have a healthy body, besides regular exercise to improve resistance and maintain a stable physical condition, it is also necessary to detect defects and diseases in a timely manner for prompt treatment. And when necessary, one must bravely remove harmful tumors that damage the body. In recent times, besides focusing on building a clean and strong Party in terms of politics, ideology, organization, and ethics, our Party has focused on clearly identifying its "ailments." These are the 27 manifestations of ideological and political degradation, moral decay, lifestyle deviations, "self-evolution," and "self-transformation" within the ranks.

The main reason is that cadres and Party members themselves lack self-cultivation and training; their ideological stance is not firm, they are confused and wavering in the face of external influences; they fall into selfish and narrow-minded individualism, are tempted by material interests, and fail to fulfill their responsibilities and duties to the Party and the people.

The most specific, clearest, and most serious manifestation is the continued prevalence of corruption, waste, and negative practices, particularly among Party members holding positions within the State apparatus.

Clearly identifying the causes and key areas for breakthrough is the intensification of the fight against corruption and negative practices. Strictly punish individuals and organizations that commit violations, especially Party members holding important positions in the Party and State apparatus. Since the 12th National Party Congress, under the leadership of the Central Committee, inspection agencies, especially the Central Inspection Commission, have been operating at maximum capacity.

As a result, tens of thousands of Party members nationwide have been disciplined for violating Party regulations and State laws. Notably, the Central Inspection Commission has held 19 meetings and announced disciplinary actions against many high-ranking Party and State officials under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat, in various forms.

This includes the dismissal of Politburo members and Central Committee members; a number of leading officials in central and local departments, ministries, and agencies, whether retired or still in office, who committed violations have been severely punished.

Those officials and Party members all violated the rules that Party members are not allowed to break, lacked responsibility, and neglected leadership and management of state affairs regarding land, resources, minerals, finance, banking, investment, and basic construction...

It can be said that never before has the Party's fight against corruption been as resolute and effective as it is today. The people of the whole country look at this and have complete confidence that corruption and negative practices will be pushed back.

Because, as our Party leader said: Once the furnace is hot, even fresh wood will burn. Dry wood and moderately dry wood will burn first, then the whole furnace will heat up, all agencies will get involved, no one can stand outside. And it's impossible to stand outside. No individual can refuse to participate, that's what success is.

Success comes from courage. Our Party has bravely acknowledged its shortcomings, taken responsibility for its mistakes, and strived to purify and correct itself, becoming increasingly clean and strong, in order to fulfill its mission to the country and the people. That is the source of strength for a genuine Party.
