Prime Minister requests inspection and review of defense land situation
The Prime Minister has just issued Directive 01/CT-TTg requesting to rectify and strengthen land management and build a land information system.

In this directive,The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of National Defense to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Justice to review and propose amendments to documents regulating the management and use of defense land in accordance with the 2013 Land Law and the specific functions and tasks of the military, and report to the Prime Minister in the second quarter of 2018.
The Ministry of National Defense coordinates with the Government Inspectorate, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the People's Committees of provinces and cities to organize inspections, examinations and reviews of the management and use of national defense land nationwide.
In cases with signs of violations such as improper land use, illegal land leasing or lending, or lax management leading to land encroachment or occupation, timely and resolutely handle them according to regulations to effectively and strictly manage the national defense land fund, at the same time handle the responsibilities of the heads of organizations and units according to the provisions of law and report the results of inspection, examination, and handling of violations (if any) to the Prime Minister before November 30.
The Prime Minister also requested the Government Inspectorate to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to review and focus on resolving land disputes, complaints and denunciations that have lasted for many years under their authority and propose to the Prime Minister synchronous solutions to prevent and limit this situation.
