President Trump disbands election fraud investigation commission
US President Donald Trump has disbanded the Commission investigating allegations of fraud in the 2016 election and directed the US Department of Homeland Security to continue the investigation.

Despite substantial evidence of election fraud, many states have refused to provide the president's election integrity commission with basic information needed to conduct its investigation, Mr. Trump said.
"I do not want to engage in endless court battles at taxpayer expense. Therefore, today I signed an executive order dissolving the commission and directing the Department of Homeland Security to study these issues and determine the necessary actions," Trump added.
The US president set up a commission in May 2017 after he claimed there was fraud in the 2016 election.
Under Mr. Trump’s order, the commission is charged with studying the voting process in federal elections and submitting to the President assessments and recommendations to enhance confidence in the electoral process.
