Previously, as VietNamNet reported, this morning at the review meeting of the District 1 People's Committee, Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, suddenly submitted his resignation.

In the application, Mr. Doan Ngoc Hai said he was assigned as Vice President in charge of urban areas since March 2016.

As soon as he took on the task, he realized that the issue of sidewalk and roadside order was a key task that needed to be focused on and resolved because this problem had existed for decades without being resolved while District 1 was the face of the city.

The Vice Chairman of District 1 also said that the process of restoring order to sidewalks from January to October 2017, District 1 created a positive effect, spreading throughout the country, was highly appreciated by the Prime Minister and assigned to localities to implement.

"Looking back, I could not fulfill my promise to the people and the expectations of veteran revolutionaries about restoring order to the sidewalks, so I would like to resign from my position as Vice Chairman of District 1 People's Committee, as a member of the Standing Committee of District 1, and as a delegate to the District 1 People's Council," Mr. Hai wrote.

At the end of the petition, Mr. Hai hopes to return as a good citizen and find fundamental solutions to help the poor make a living.
