The subjects used weapons to fiercely fight back against the police, injuring two scouts.
Two subjects, Lo Van Sinh (born in 1978, residing in Team 14, Thanh Chan Commune, Dien Bien District, Dien Bien Province) and Kham Phut Tham Ma Vong (born in 1988, Lao nationality, residing in Phon village, Phon Hong District, Vientiane Province, Lao PDR) were caught red-handed at Muong Thanh Hotel, Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province at 6:30 p.m. on January 8 while illegally buying and selling drugs.

During the pursuit, the subjects used weapons to fiercely fight back against the police, injuring two detectives from the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Dien Bien Provincial Police.
The detectives subdued the suspect and seized all the evidence including: 21 heroin bars (weighing 7.5kg), 1 motorbike, 2 mobile phones and some related evidence. Currently, the case is being further investigated and expanded by the Dien Bien Provincial Police.
