Thailand just got the world's best training plane
Thailand has received its first T-50 trainer aircraft manufactured by South Korea. Developed on the F-16 platform, the T-50 is considered one of the best trainer aircraft in the world today.
Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced that it has begun delivering two of four T-50 jet trainers to the Royal Thai Air Force. The delivery of these aircraft marks Thailand as the country with the most modern trainer aircraft in the region.
It is known that the Philippine Air Force is also using a fighter jet developed from the T-50 called the F/A-50. In recent years, South Korea has been promoting arms exports to the Southeast Asian market.

The T-50 project officially started in October 1997. In 1998, the basic design was completed, and in 1999, the detailed design was completed. In January 2001, the first aircraft model (AA-1) was produced. The T-50 began flight testing on August 20, 2002, and by May 2005, the T-50 had completed 1,000 flights.
South Korea's unveiling of the aircraft in 2005 marked the country's official becoming the 12th country capable of producing supersonic jets.

T-50 flies at a maximum altitude of 14,550 m, at this altitude the speed limit is 30 m/min, surpassing other new generation training aircraft of the same type in the world.
