Nearly 60 kg of ammunition and 6 bullets recovered at scrap facilities
(Baonghean.vn) - Checking 40 scrap purchasing facilities in the area, Dien Chau District Police discovered and recovered nearly 60 kg of scrap ammunition and 6 157mm artillery shells.
Carrying out a peak campaign to crack down on all types of crimes before, during and after the 2018 Lunar New Year, Dien Chau Police simultaneously inspected all scrap purchasing facilities in the entire district.

Up to this point, the district police have inspected 40 scrap purchasing facilities in 20 communes. Through the inspection, nearly 60 kg of scrap ammunition and 6 157mm artillery shells were recovered.
At the same time, the police mobilized people to hand over 17 homemade guns and 15 knives and swords of various types. In addition, the police arrested and handled 4 subjects for illegally transporting weapons, confiscating 7 electric batons, 1 homemade gun and 5 knives and swords of various types.
From now until the end of January 2018, Dien Chau District Police will continue to inspect scrap businesses in the area to promptly detect and seize ammunition waste, avoid risky incidents, and ensure public safety./.
