Harry Kane's brace against Everton gave him 98 Premier League goals for Tottenham. At the age of 24, Kane surpassed Teddy Sheringham to become Tottenham's all-time leading scorer in the Premier League era. Sheringham had to play for Tottenham for two spells, 1992-1997 and 2001-2003, to score 97 goals.
Not only setting a new record, Kane also rose to equal Ciro Immobile of Lazio in the race for the European Golden Shoe this season with 40 points. Kane has scored 20 goals since the beginning of the Premier League season and scored 28 goals after 28 appearances in all competitions.
These were also Kane's first goals in the Premier League in 2018. Kane helped Tottenham rise to fifth place, with 44 points equal to the fourth-placed Liverpool. In this round, Liverpool will have to host the top team Man City.

Everton, after their honeymoon period under manager Sam Allardyce, have returned to their shaky start to the season. The Merseyside club have failed to win in six games and have lost their last four. Although Everton remain ninth, their current form is putting them in danger of dropping to the bottom of the table.
Everton's new striker Cenk Tosun, who cost $37 million, started the match, but did not help his team get a shot on target before being substituted in the 62nd minute. Wayne Rooney also had a deadlocked match in the attacking midfield position, not creating any breakthroughs against Tottenham's defense.
Meanwhile, Tottenham maintained the rhythm between the pillars who played familiarly with each other. Heung Min Son was the one who shone with the opening goal and assisted Kane to score early in the second half. Kane's goal broke Everton's spirit and Tottenham scored two more goals to close the match.
