Google Office - the dream workplace of students
At Google's Zurich, Switzerland, employees can hold meetings in cable cars, sleep in bathtubs, and enjoy free massages.
Google - the Internet company founded in 1998 is famous for its rigorous recruitment process, but every candidate is eager to win a position. The offices of the "tech giant" are built with the purpose of making employees feel at home. Founder Larry Page believes that this is a prerequisite for improving work efficiency, according toBusiness InsiderJanuary 13
The largest Google office in Europe is located in Zurich (Switzerland), just a few minutes walk from Lake Zurich, with four floors built on the foundation of an old brewery.
The more than 2,000 Google employees in Zurich call themselves Zooglers. They work on products like Google Maps, YouTube, and Gmail. The first thing you see when you walk in is this hallway. However, only invited guests can enter.
Most employees don't have a fixed desk. Each meeting room is themed. In the "rainforest" room, about 100 plants surround the seats.
They can hide in one of the giant "eggs" in the middle of the green forest to make phone calls or rest.
Cable cars and hot air balloons reminiscent of the Swiss mountains are also where employees brainstorm ideas.
Entering this room, Zooglers feel like they are underwater. If they are tired, they can take a nap in the bathtub.
Food is completely free for employees. Thanks to that, wasting time going out for lunch is unnecessary.
Massage area to relax after tiring hours is also available to staff free of charge.
Every day at 5 p.m., the building’s signature music plays, inviting employees to take a break for drinks, snacks, and conversation in the Hürlimann-Bar area. Hürlimann is the name of the old brewery where Google’s offices are built.
Although not built underground, the office still has a wine cellar.
To move from the upper floor to the lower floor, you can take the slide.
Employees are encouraged to exercise with table tennis, billiards, live music, a cinema room, and even a gym with the most modern equipment. These activities help them develop initiative and creativity.
