Despite his young age, Tuan Anh was a major drug dealer supplying synthetic drugs to various "dealers" in the city. Operating alone, Tuan Anh was very afraid of being retaliated against by rivals, so he always carried a revolver with five bullets.

On January 18th, the Police Department of District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, announced that they had dismantled a drug trafficking ring, arresting the ringleader, Nguyen Anh Tuan (31 years old, residing in Phu Nhuan District), and seizing over 2,000 synthetic drug pills, a large quantity of methamphetamine, a Japanese sword, a revolver, and 5 bullets.

The suspect is Nguyen Tuan Anh.

On the night of January 9th, a task force from the Drug Crime Police Team of District 7 Police Department, while patrolling the intersection of Tran Xuan Soan and Be Van Cam streets (Tan Kien Ward, District 7), discovered Bui Si Chu (52 years old, residing in District 3) arriving by ride-hailing motorbike to deliver synthetic drugs to an addict in the area, and brought him to the police station.

The subject is Bui Si Chu

During questioning at the police station, Chu confessed that the drugs he sold to addicts came from Tuan Anh. The place where Chu and Tuan Anh usually conducted their transactions was the PL Hotel (Tran Xuan Soan Street).

Based on Chu's testimony, the Drug Enforcement Police team planned an ambush for Tuan Anh. On the afternoon of January 10th, Tuan Anh hired a ride-hailing motorbike to go to the PL Hotel to deliver 1,000 pills of synthetic drugs when the drug enforcement team raided the place and caught him red-handed.

During a search of Tuan Anh's residence, the task force discovered a revolver, 5 bullets, and a Japanese sword. At the second apartment in the luxury apartment building that Tuan Anh rented, the task force seized over 1,000 synthetic drug pills and a large quantity of methamphetamine.

During questioning at the investigative agency, Tuan Anh confessed that to evade authorities, he rented two apartments in a high-end apartment building in Phu Nhuan District to use as his headquarters and storage facility. Tuan Anh never met his customers in person; all transactions were conducted over the phone. After placing an order and agreeing on the price, Tuan Anh would usually hire a ride-hailing motorbike driver to deliver the goods.

Unaware that the packages contained drugs, and offered higher fares than Tuan Anh, many drivers happily delivered goods for him. Even receiving the goods himself, Tuan Anh hired motorbike taxis instead of going to pick them up himself. Because he dealt in illegal goods, Tuan Anh always knew he would face competition from rivals or police raids, so he always carried a revolver with him.

The police in District 7 are continuing to expand their investigation into the case.
