6 illegal sand and gravel dredging ships caught on Lam River
(Baonghean.vn) - Authorities caught and seized 6 illegal sand and gravel suction ships on Lam River.
On January 19, in the area of village 3, Lang Son commune, Anh Son district police coordinated with the working group of Nghe An Waterway Police Department to catch 6 illegal sand and gravel dredging ships with a volume of 25 to 30 cubic meters of sand and gravel.

Through inspection of 6 ships of the subjects Nguyen Thi Hue, born in 1981, residing in village 6, Khai Son commune; Hoang Van Cung, born in 1987, residing in village 6, Linh Son commune; Vo Van Vinh, born in 1983, residing in village 1, Lang Son commune; Nguyen Van Luong, born in 1980, residing in village 6, Khai Son commune; Vo Van Quang, born in 1989 and Vo Van Huong, born in 1982, residing in village 2, Lang Son commune, residing in Lang Son commune (Anh Son).
All 6 subjects did not have a license, registration or related documents while exploiting sand and gravel.
The delegation drew up a record and requested the 6 ship owners to bring them to the staging area in Lang Son commune for handling according to the provisions of law.

It is known that currently, on Lam River through Anh Son district, there are many unlicensed ship owners, without circulation papers and registration, who regularly illegally exploit sand and gravel, affecting the flow, causing landslides and polluting the water environment, causing public outrage.
In the coming time, the District People's Committee will direct departments and branches to focus on inspection and resolutely handle acts and violations of the law.
