“In the immediate future, the province will provide maximum support to investors to build a solar power plant in Hoang Mai town soon, contributing to the socio-economic development of Hoang Mai town in particular and Nghe An province in general, while contributing positive impacts to the protection of environmental resources, opening up a development direction for the exploitation of clean and sustainable energy sources in the province,” affirmed Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong.

Vuc Mau Lake is the largest irrigation lake in Nghe An province, started construction in 1978, put into operation in 1982, the lake area is over 1,000 hectares, nearly 1km long from Quynh Thang and Tan Thang communes to Quynh Trang commune, with a capacity of 75 million m3 of water. This is the only lake in Nghe An installed with SCADA electronic system, connecting to the General Department of Irrigation 24/24h. The lake provides irrigation water for more than 2,000 hectares of agricultural land.
