Car driver pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot someone after hitting a motorbike
A clip recorded a car driver arguing and threatening people with a gun. The incident was determined to have taken place in Thuan Loc commune, Hong Linh town, Ha Tinh province.
Mr. Tran Trung Kien - Head of Thuan Loc Commune Police, Hong Linh Town (Ha Tinh), said that the above video clip recorded the accident on the afternoon of January 21 on Song Thuan Street, Hong Nguyet Village, Thuan Loc Commune, Hong Linh Town, Ha Tinh Province.
According to Mr. Kien, at around 2:00 p.m. on January 21, a car traveling in the direction of Thuan Loc - Hong Linh town, when reaching Hong Nguyet village, crashed into Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hiep's motorbike that was stopped on the side of the road.
"When the authorities arrived at the scene, the car driver had put away the gun, but when we watched the clip recorded by the people, we determined that the driver had previously pulled out a gun to argue with other people," said Mr. Kien.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hiep said that at that time, he parked his motorbike on the side of the road to go into the house to get a pesticide sprayer. When he heard a loud crash, he ran out and saw that his motorbike had been thrown more than 10 meters away and was badly damaged.

"After that, some people gathered around, including my nephew Le Thanh Trung, who told the driver that he had to pay for the damaged motorbike. Hearing that, the driver pulled out a gun, brandished it and said, 'I'll shoot you once and you'll die'," Mr. Hiep recounted.

According to verification by the authorities, the car owner is To Quang Nghia, born in 1967, residing in Thuan Thien commune, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Khuyen - Vice Chairman of Thuan Loc Commune People's Committee, confirmed that the incident had been recorded by Hong Linh Town Police, taking statements from the parties and witnesses.
"This was a traffic accident but the car driver pulled out a gun to threaten people. This behavior is unacceptable," said Mr. Khuyen.
