Mother forced daughter to shave her head, fake terminal cancer to make money
A young girl has bravely exposed her mother's lies about forcing her to fake cancer since she was 7 years old.
Hannah Millbrandt, 21 years old, from Ohio, USA recently spoke about her childhood abuse by her mother who gave her drugs and also told her she had cancer.14 years ago, a mother named Theresa accused her daughter of cancer. She even organized meetings to discuss cancer treatment for her daughter, thereby raising more than 23,000 USD in fundraising (more than 500 million VND).
Hannah said that when she was 7 years old, she had a cough and her mother took her to the doctor. Then, Theresa told the whole family that her daughter had a tumor in her spinal cord and only had a few weeks to live. Theresa's whole family burst into tears because of the unfortunate child.

"After that night, my life changed. My mother made me wear a mask because it would help me fight off bacteria better. I hated the way people treated me differently, with only pity left in their eyes," Hannah confided to the newspaper.Mirror.
Locals around the small Ohio town started fundraising for Hannah's treatment and prayed for her every time they went to church. "I hated the attention, but my mom was so grateful for the fundraising. She used to say I was a million-dollar baby, but I was too young to understand," Hannah shared.
As a family nurse, Theresa was allowed to use drugs and began secretly administering them to Hannah. Hannah's health continued to deteriorate, with frequent headaches and weakness. One day, the 7-year-old woke up and was shocked to find her shiny hair gone, because her mother had the heart to shave her head to look like she was undergoing chemotherapy.

Strangely, Hannah's father, Bob, always managed to be with her throughout the process, but the appointments were always changed inexplicably at the last minute. And often, Hannah's mother and grandmother would take her to the appointments, with an ice cream cone, and she would sleep through it all.
"My friends and teachers cried when they saw me, and the whole class even put on woolen hats so I wouldn't be alone," Hannah said.

Until one day, a teacher discovered that the girl's hair had grown back and reported this. Mrs. Theresa had to admit her evil deeds and was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison.
Hannah now works as a university social worker, caring for abandoned and abused children. She is still haunted by her mother's actions. "My childhood was completely destroyed because of her greed," Hannah added.
