On the morning of January 25, Le Cong Vinh expressed his indignation at being slandered for "disdainting" U23 Vietnam. Before the quarter-final match of the U23 Asian Cup between Vietnam and Iraq, a photo collage of Cong Vinh with Cong Phuong, Quang Hai, Duy Manh appeared online with the quote: "Vietnam certainly cannot beat Iraq. We must know where we stand."
Because of this image, the former Nghe An striker was heavily criticized and insulted by many people, forcing him to speak out.Who created this inhumane saying? I want to know the origin and who wrote it," the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Club posted on his fanpage and called on fans to share to find out.the one who defamed him.
Singer Thuy Tien also could not sit still when her husband was being slandered. On her fanpage, she wrote: "Please allow me to say that whoever intentionally wrote this misleading sentence at this time is inhumane. Mr. Vinh scored a goal against Iraq at the national team level two years ago in the World Cup qualifiers. The opponent brought the strongest squad at the national team level, calling all the players who had played in Europe to play, not because of age restrictions.
No matter how little or much, we have shed sweat and tears on the field like the young people today to bring joy and sports achievements to the country. Now, even though we are no longer playing, we do not deserve to be deliberately edited and made up with this saying at a sensitive time, so that everyone can come and curse us on social media."
