U23 Vietnam players have touched the hearts of Nghe An people
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of January 30, at Ho Chi Minh Square, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to honor 4 U23 National football players from Nghe An who made many contributions to the Vietnam U23 team that won the runner-up position at the 2018 U23 Asian Championship.

Comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and thousands of people attended the award and honor ceremony.
The four U23 National Football Team players from Nghe An who were honored are: Pham Xuan Manh, 22 years old, from Yen Thanh district, Song Lam Nghe An Club; Phan Van Duc, 22 years old, from Yen Thanh district, Song Lam Nghe An Club; Nguyen Cong Phuong, 23 years old, from Do Luong district, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club and Nguyen Van Hoang, 22 years old, from Tan Ky district, Saigon Club.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong, on behalf of the provincial leaders and football fans, warmly congratulated and commended the efforts and excellent achievements of the team in general and the athletes from Nghe An in particular.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province affirmed: The U23 Vietnam team has aroused the pride and solidarity of the entire nation, created great national sentiment and touched the hearts of every Nghe An citizen. In that victory, Nghe An is extremely proud of the important and outstanding contributions of 4 players who are sons of their homeland.
Pham Xuan Manh, Phan Van Duc, Nguyen Cong Phuong, Nguyen Van Hoang - you are the "Brave Warriors", the messengers of happiness, worthy of the championship in the hearts of Vietnamese fans, fans of Nghe An.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong expressed his wish: After this success, the players will continue to "train their virtues and talents", continue to shine in the clubs, the provincial teams, as well as the National team and become good seeds, arouse the love of football, develop the football career in Nghe An, as well as the whole country; so that in the near future, the Red Flag with the Yellow Star will continue to shine in the highest position in the Regional, Continental and International arenas. Continue to bring glory and happiness to the country, homeland and fans.
I hope that organizations, businesses and people in the province will continue to pay more attention and support, so that Nghe An football will always be in the top of the country, contributing to the development of Vietnamese football in a more professional direction and in parallel with world football.

During the ceremony, comrades Nguyen Dac Vinh and Nguyen Xuan Duong presented Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and 4 gifts to 4 players. Each gift is worth 51.3 million VND... (player Nguyen Van Hoang was not able to return to the ceremony due to a meeting with his club)
Units, businesses, and fans have given many gifts to the 4 players: Nghe An Agricultural Materials Company donated 200 million VND; Nghe An Telecommunications Company donated 100 million VND; Nghe An Newspaper donated 30 million VND to 3 players Pham Xuan Manh, Phan Van Duc, Nguyen Cong Phuong - These are players who grew up from the Youth - Children's Football Tournament Cup Nghe An Newspaper.
At the ceremony, three players Pham Xuan Manh, Phan Van Duc, and Nguyen Cong Phuong interacted and sang for fans in their home province. All three players expressed their emotion and great joy at the love, welcome, and recognition of the leaders and people of their home province; and expressed their determination to strive to practice and contribute more to the football of their home province in particular and Vietnam in general.
