(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 7, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc held a conference to evaluate the results of coordination between the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc in 2017, and discuss the coordination program and content in 2018.

Assessing the results achieved in 2017, the two sides realized that with the drastic and focused direction and management of the Provincial People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Bloc, the active consultation and implementation of departments, branches and sectors, there have been clear changes in the socio-economic development fields of the province: The economy grew higher than the national average, 27/27 socio-economic development targets of the province were achieved (8 targets exceeded the plan); the total product in the province (GRDP) increased by 8.25%.
The agricultural sector has changed positively towards increasing added value and sustainable development; the new rural construction movement has developed extensively. Industrial production has increased significantly after many difficult years; many key projects have been accelerated; a number of large projects have been completed and put into operation.
The service sector, especially tourism, has developed well. Foreign affairs, investment promotion and attraction, and investment environment improvement have seen many innovations, with focus and key points. Research, innovation, and application of science and technology have been promoted; resource management and environmental protection have been strengthened.
The cultural and social fields continued to change positively, the quality of education improved; public health care was focused on; hunger eradication, poverty reduction, job creation, and social security achieved positive results.

The coordination between the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Bloc aims to promote the role of grassroots party organizations, departments, branches and sectors to effectively implement the annual plans of the province, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An until 2020 and the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels.
