(Baonghean.vn) - On February 7, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) quoted a spokesman for the Institute for American Studies under the North Korean Foreign Ministry as saying that the latest US nuclear policy, outlined in the Washington Nuclear Posture Report (NPR), shows the country's ambition to dominate the world with nuclear supremacy.

KCNA quoted the spokesman as saying that the NPR demonstrated “US President Donald Trump’s evil ambition to blackmail other sovereign states and dominate the world with nuclear weapons.”
The official stressed that Washington is “pushing to modernize and diversify all available nuclear weapons,” and said that this has been a consistent policy of US authorities, thereby acknowledging the country's strong ambition to dominate the world through reliance on absolute nuclear supremacy.
The spokesman also emphasized that by developing new nuclear weapons and being ready to launch preemptive strikes against opponents, regardless of whether they are nuclear-armed or not, “the United States has declared war on the whole world.”
