Comrade Truong Hoa Binh - Member of the Politburo, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform chaired the conference. On the Nghe An side, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference; also participating were representatives of provincial departments and branches.

Reporting on administrative reform work in 2017, comrade Nguyen Trong Thua - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Deputy Head of the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, clearly affirmed: Administrative reform work has received close and drastic direction from the Government, the Prime Minister, ministries, central branches to localities; thereby creating a shift in awareness and action as well as effectively implementing administrative reform tasks at each level, each branch, agency and unit.
Notably, the simplification of administrative procedures related to production and business activities and the simplification of citizen documents have made clear progress, contributing to promoting creative freedom for start-up businesses and creating convenience for people.

The promotion of information technology application by ministries, branches and localities is also quite positive, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of State administrative agencies; improving the quality of public service provision for people and organizations.
Through the online conference, a number of central ministries, branches and provinces and cities across the country shared many good and creative ways of administrative reform and proposed many recommendations.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh emphasized the need to promote the role and responsibility of the heads of central and local ministries and branches in disseminating and thoroughly implementing the directions of the Party, National Assembly and Government on administrative reform, creating a change in awareness throughout the political system and public apparatus; cadres and civil servants must be close to the people, respect the people, and serve the people to the fullest.
Emphasizing the need to continue institutional reform, the Deputy Prime Minister requested to focus on reforming administrative procedures right in institutional reform, reducing the time to issue legal documents; continuing to reform administrative procedures, especially in areas related to land, tax, customs, agriculture and rural areas; promoting the application of IT in operations...
On the other hand, comrade Truong Hoa Binh requested to continue improving the quality and efficiency of the "one-stop" and "one-stop" mechanisms, expanding the model of public administrative service centers in localities; promoting the effectiveness of the information channel for feedback from people and businesses on the Government's electronic information portal to promptly resolve problems for people and businesses.

Based on the direction of the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and sectors to receive and seriously implement.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized: In 2018, one of the key tasks identified by the province is to focus on promoting administrative reform.
Therefore, it is required that departments, branches, and localities develop administrative reform projects until 2020 in their sectors and localities; in which, 7 departments, branches, agencies, and units selected as strong leadership points in 2018 must develop administrative reform projects for 2018 in a specific manner, detailing the contents that need to be changed and reformed.
Emphasizing the need for administrative reform every hour and every day, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that along with developing a project for implementation, units need to immediately start amending the content that can be changed.
"The province will strengthen supervision and inspection of the implementation of administrative reform in units and publicize weak units on mass media" - the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed.
