U23 shirt and ball given to Prime Minister fetched 6 billion VND

The football and jersey of the U23 team given to the Prime Minister received much attention when put up for auction.

On the morning of February 9, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Luu Hong Son said that after 3 days of organizing the auction of the shirt and ball of the U23 Vietnam team given to the Prime Minister, many organizations and individuals participated in the auction.

"Many prices have been offered by individuals and organizations. One middle-aged man shared that he had no money, only a piece of land, and asked if he could exchange the land for a ball and a shirt. Many students called to inquire and said they would skip breakfast to participate in the auction," said Mr. Son.

According to the leader of the Ministry of Labor Office, the highest bidder so far is 6 billion VND for both the ball and the jersey.

The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued an invitation to participate in the auction of a special souvenir from the Vietnam U23 Team to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on February 6. It is a ball and a jersey with full signatures of the members of the Vietnam U23 Team who just won the runner-up title at the Asian U23 Championship in Changzhou (Jiangsu Province, China).

The starting price of each item is one billion VND. The auction starts from 3pm on February 6 to midnight on February 11. Organizations and individuals can participate in the auction by calling the hotline: 096 382 2222 or 0913.214.218.

In addition, organizations and individuals can bid through the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, sending an email.[email protected], clearly stating the name and address, phone number; business line (occupation for individuals); ID card number of the individual or of the head of the enterprise; account; tax code; auction price (each product or both products).

The person who bids the highest price before the auction ends will be the buyer of the auctioned item. The buyer will pay the full amount to the auction organization at account 123000014526 of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade, Hanoi branch. The handover ceremony will take place before the Lunar New Year 2018.
