However, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duy Thinh (Former lecturer at the Institute of Biotechnology and Food, Hanoi University of Science and Technology) said: Solanum mammosum, scientifically known as Solanum mammosum, belongs to the belladonna family. Solanum mammosum contains high concentrations of solanine and scopolamine, so it is highly toxic. In addition, there are toxins such as atropine and hyoscyamine that cause hallucinations and muscle paralysis. Solanum mammosum is extremely dangerous if eaten by humans.
This is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless anesthetic. When exposed to this substance, the victim often falls into an unconscious state. People who eat the fruit are likely to experience symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, cardiac arrest, and even life-threatening. The fruit has anesthetic poison at low doses. If you eat a few or more fruits, its toxicity can cause deep coma and easily lead to death.
Therefore, housewives should not buy it to display on the altar because it is easily mistaken for edible fruit, which is dangerous to health.
