Prime Minister offers incense in memory of former leaders of the State and Government

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2018, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh offered incense and paid tribute to former leaders of the State and Government through the ages.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2018, on February 10, in Ho Chi Minh City, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh offered incense and paid tribute to former leaders of the State and Government through the periods.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc came to offer incense and pay tribute to Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho, Acting President since April 1980. Then, in July 1981, the Lawyer was Chairman of the National Assembly and Vice Chairman of the State Council.
At the memorial house of Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho in Ho Chi Minh City, many images of his revolutionary life are still preserved, from the time he participated in the Southern Uprising to the time he was Chairman of the Central Committee of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam and the Advisory Council of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam.

The memorial house also preserves valuable documents during the period when Lawyer Nguyen Huu Tho held the position of Vice President of a unified Vietnam, then President and Honorary President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Previously, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc offered incense and commemorated the contributions of former Chairman of the State Council, former Vice Chairman of the Council of Ministers, and former Advisor to the Party Central Committee Vo Chi Cong.

The Prime Minister was moved to recall the great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, during the more than 80 years of revolutionary activities for the country and people of comrade Vo Chi Cong.

With such great dedication and contributions, comrade Vo Chi Cong was awarded the Gold Star Order, 70-year Party membership badge and many other noble orders and medals by the Party and State.

Also on the afternoon of February 10, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh offered incense to former Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung.

2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the death of Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung - a shining example of determination in leadership, management and devotion to the Party's revolutionary cause.

Offering incense, commemorating former Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet and visiting his family, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc recalled the great contributions of former Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet from 1988 to 1997, the period when the country began to open up and integrate with the region and the world.

With a strategic vision, former Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet made many important decisions for the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta, which the current Government continues to pursue, aiming to develop this fertile delta sustainably in a way that is in harmony with nature and proactively adapts to climate change./.
