Honda X-Blade 160, cheap manual transmission motorbike competing with Yamaha FZ V2.0

Honda continues to "increase strength" in the naked sports bike segment when launching the X-Blade 160 model equipped with a 160cc engine, competing with rival Yamaha FZ V2.0 in the Indian market.

Honda X-Blade 160 has a sporty, powerful design.

Over the years, cheap manual motorbikes under 200cc have always been considered the best-selling segment in the Indian market. Not wanting to lose market share to competitors, Honda has just launched the all-new X-Blade 160 at the Auto Expo 2018 taking place in India.

Aimed at young customers, this manual transmission motorbike model is designed by Honda in a sporty style with strong, youthful lines and many different color options.

In the Indian market, Honda X-Blade 160 has 5 color options.

The overall design of the Honda X-Blade 160 is highlighted by angular lines. The large headlight cluster integrates LED technology and is covered with plastic panels. The turn signals are placed quite high, combined with a windshield that protects the central LCD clock cluster with a design similar to the Honda CB150R sportbike model. This screen displays full operating parameters, warning lights and vehicle maintenance time notification mode.

With the style of a naked sports bike, the Honda X-Blade 160 fuel tank is placed quite high combined with decorative plastic details on both sides to give the vehicle a strong, powerful look. The leather-covered saddle, seamless design in the LED taillight cluster is neatly "smoothed" and integrated into the rear of the vehicle.

Large headlight clusters integrate LED technology and are covered with plastic panels.

According to Honda's specifications, the X-Blade 160 has a wheelbase of 1,347 mm, the front and rear wheels use 17-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheels combined with MRF tubeless tires. In which, the front tire is 80 mm wide, the rear tire is 130 mm. Similar to many naked bike models, Honda equips the X-Blade 160 with telescopic front forks and monoshock rear forks.

The heart of the Honda X-Blade 160 is a 162.71cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, 2-valve SOHC engine that produces 13.93 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 13.9 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The central LCD clock cluster has a similar design to the Honda CB150R sportbike model.

In the Indian market, the Honda X-Blade 160 has 5 color options including: matte metallic blue, matte metallic silver, pearl red, pearl black and matte metallic green. Currently, Honda has not announced the official price for the X-Blade 160, but positioning in the low-cost manual transmission segment, the X-Blade 160 promises to have a competitive price compared to its rivals Yamaha FZ V2.0, Suzuki Gixxer 150 in the Indian market.
