According to initial investigation, at around midnight on February 2, after finishing drinking, Huy and Thai invited each other to find prostitutes to buy sex. When they arrived at Nui Sam ward (Chau Doc city), they both met T. and agreed to buy sex.
After buying sex, feeling sorry for the money, Thai asked Huy to find T. to rob and get back the money and steal the victim's motorbike.

At around 2:00 a.m. the same day, Thai and Huy went to the area of group 1 (Vinh Dong 2 hamlet, Nui Sam ward) and met T. sitting on a motorbike on the side of the road. Huy grabbed T.'s motorbike key, while Thai pushed the victim to the ground and used a brick to hit T.
Panicked, T. took out 500,000 VND to return to Thai. Seeing that T. did not resist, Huy immediately stole the motorbike, while Thai drove Huy's motorbike and escaped into the night. On the way, Thai drove the motorbike into the median strip. Seeing many people running out, the two subjects immediately abandoned T.'s motorbike and escaped.
After receiving the report, using professional measures, that same night, Chau Doc City Police arrested Huy and Thai. At the Investigation Agency, the subjects confessed that in addition to the above case, Huy and Thai had also committed many other robberies in the area that caused public panic in recent times.
