"Unlike Cong Phuong, Quang Hai will be successful if he goes to Korea"
Former national team player Vu Nhu Thanh thinks that Hanoi Club should let Quang Hai play abroad to develop his talent.
After the success at the U23 Asian Cup, the Korean press affirmed that Quang Hai would be able to compete in the K-League. However, the representative of Hanoi FC did not think so, saying that Quang Hai was still too young and needed to compete domestically to gain more experience.
However, former national team player Vu Nhu Thanh disagrees with the above comments. According to the former steel center back of Vietnamese football, Quang Hai is a special type of player and needs a suitable development environment.
Responding to reporters, Nhu Thanh said: "That statement is quite strange and inaccurate because Quang Hai is a very special player. I have known Quang Hai for a long time and have always affirmed that he is one of the most potential young stars of Vietnamese football. He needs a good environment to develop himself and playing abroad right now is a good choice."
Quang Hai is the second case because it is easy to see that the more he plays against strong opponents, the better he plays and the more mature he becomes after each major tournament. I rarely see Hai worried and easily deploy his playing style no matter how strong the opponent is."
According to Vu Nhu Thanh, Quang Hai is very different from Cong Phuong in playing style, so if he goes abroad to play, the success rate of the U23 Vietnam hero will be very high. Nhu Thanh affirmed that Quang Hai should go as soon as possible.
"Quang Hai is very different from Cong Phuong. This is not difficult to explain. Phuong plays with emotion and improvisation, so it is difficult to predict whether a match is good or bad. Meanwhile, Hai always plays very steadily, with even feet and has a plan, and has outstanding courage.
I believe that for a player like that, the sooner he can play in big tournaments at higher levels like Korea or Japan, the better. Quang Hai will have more opportunities to improve his skills and abilities instead of being slow in the V-League and wasting time learning."
