The year-end market is bustling with many forms of promotions, inventory discounts, and clearance sales on the streets, shopping centers, and rural markets. Walking around the streets, it is not difficult to recognize billboards: "Discounted goods", "Year-end clearance", "Super cheap goods", "same price 10,000 VND"... springing up everywhere.

The items on sale are very diverse with clothes, shoes, household items... but the most popular are still clothes with surprisingly cheap prices. Men's and women's T-shirts are only 20,000 - 30,000 VND/piece, shirts are 50,000 VND/piece, warm down jackets are also only ranging from 150,000 - 200,000 VND/piece...

Ms. Nga, a saleswoman at a garment company in Ho Chi Minh City, said: Vietnamese export down jackets are the trend this year, the original price is 400,000 - 500,000 VND/piece, however, during the sewing process, there were some small errors, so they could not be exported, so we liquidated them at a cheap price. On National Highway 7, the section passing through Dien Chau district is bustling with people buying clearance items these days. Taking advantage of the rural people's love of cheap prices, the stall's loudspeaker continuously shouts "same price 10,000 VND, only today" attracting more passersby to stop.

According to research, household items such as pots, pans, basins, bowls, chopsticks... are displayed here with a price of only 10,000 VND/item. In the cold weather, bedding, pillow, and mattress stores also take advantage of the sale with prices reduced by 50% -70%, attracting many participants.

At the end of the year, fashion shops in Vinh City also launched many promotional and clearance programs. However, according to observations, the number of customers is not much. According to research, although the price has been reduced by 50%, the price of the items is still quite high, ranging from 300,000 - 500,000 VND/product, so many people still choose to buy at public sales points because the price is much cheaper.

However, the year-end market is often very complicated, in the clearance products, there are many outdated and low-quality goods in stock. Some mobile sales points are actually market goods, taking advantage of the year-end to display them in public places to sell.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Han, Dien Chau Town, was upset: Actually, people only sell "moldy" goods at shocking prices. Recently, I bought a hair dryer. The sales staff said it was heavily discounted at the end of the year. When I brought it home to use, it was sold out after only one day. When I returned it, the seller and the goods were nowhere to be found.

In addition, year-end clearance points are often concentrated on major roads, intersections, and sidewalks, which pose many potential traffic safety risks, especially in crowded areas. Not only that, some locations also record advertising sounds to broadcast in public places to attract customers, causing a lot of inconvenience to surrounding households and passersby.
