Tips to help children enjoy studying during Tet holiday
During the long Tet holiday with countless activities, how to get children to study so they don't forget their knowledge, Dr. Nguyen Thu Huong shares her experience.
As always, Tet homework is the longest and most tiring. To help your child happily tackle the mountain of homework, parents can apply some of the following tricks:
First, cParents should divide the homework into small groups and ask their children to complete one group each day. You can ask your children to cut paper flowers, write each group of problems on a flower and each time they do it, toss it up to randomly select a group of problems. When finished, the flowers can be pasted by parents in a prominent corner to decorate the house more beautifully.

Second, parents should choose the time to do homework right after breakfast every day. At that time, children are not really excited about the play plan so they will be more enthusiastic about doing homework. Right after completing the homework of the day, parents should let their children play. This can make children do homework positively.
Third, almost all studentshave 2-3 days off before Tet. Taking advantage of this time, parents encourage their children to complete a lot of homework. From the 30th to the 2nd day of Tet, children should rest and play to relax after a hard study session and fully enjoy the Tet atmosphere. From the 3rd day, parents should bring their children back to school to complete the remaining homework. This will help children quickly regain their study posture and be ready to return to school after Tet holiday.
Fourth, parents should not forget to praise and acknowledge their children if they complete their homework quickly. The amount of homework is small, the time is fixed, and after finishing, they can go out and play, and they are also praised. Surely, children will easily sit down to study.

During the Tet holidays, parents should occasionally take their children to school, so that they still have a familiar feeling at school. My children are looking forward to going to school to tell me what they did during Tet., will help your children get excited about going back to school. They will also be sure to prepare some great stories to tell their friends.
To increase the excitement for children when returning to school, parents can prepare some packages of candy and jam as New Year gifts for teachers and friends. The first class of the year with those small spring gifts will become much more fun and lovely.
After a long Tet holiday with days of sleeping in, parents should train their children to wake up on time for school, 2-3 days before returning to school. Once the habit of waking up early has been re-established, children will not be discouraged when they actually return to class. This further increases the chances of children being interested in going to school.
