Burning incense in memory of General Secretary Le Duan and General Secretary Truong Chinh
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year and the 88th anniversary of the Party's founding, on the morning of February 14, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited and burned incense to commemorate General Secretary Le Duan and General Secretary Truong Chinh at his private home.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2018 and the 88th anniversary of the Party's founding, on the morning of February 14 (ie December 29, Dinh Dau year), General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited and burned incense to commemorate General Secretary Le Duan and General Secretary Truong Chinh at his private residence.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong recalled the great contributions of General Secretary Le Duan and General Secretary Truong Chinh to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; expressed deep gratitude to the predecessors who had contributed to building the foundation for our country to have the fortune it has today.
Born on April 7, 1907 in a family with a tradition of patriotism and studiousness, in Trieu Dong commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province, comrade Le Duan (real name Le Van Nhuan) was enlightened early and participated in revolutionary activities.
60 years of revolutionary activities, 26 consecutive years in the position of First Secretary and General Secretary of the Party Central Committee (1960-1986), comrade Le Duan devoted his whole life to the Party and the nation.
He left behind an extremely valuable legacy, a shining example of a communist soldier.
That is the infinite loyalty to the Fatherland and the people, lifelong service to the Fatherland and the people, the radical revolutionary will, and the relentless attack for the communist ideal.
That is the height of intelligence, organizational talent, scientific and creative revolutionary methods, the virtue of eagerness to learn, always being friendly and close to compatriots and comrades; it is the steadfast will, a steadfast heart, a belief in the future of the country and people, even in times of hardship and fierce challenges.
Comrade Truong Chinh's real name is Dang Xuan Khu, born on February 9, 1907, in a patriotic intellectual family in Xuan Hong commune, Xuan Truong district, Nam Dinh province. Comrade Truong Chinh's revolutionary life was very steadfast, rich and vibrant.
As General Secretary three times, a member of the Politburo for more than 20 years, and assigned to hold many important responsibilities of the Party and State; no matter what position he held, he was always devoted to the Party, the country, and the people; steadfast in the face of all difficulties and challenges.
His revolutionary moral qualities, intelligence and talent always shined in all circumstances; especially at important turning points in the history of the Vietnamese revolution.

In the process of national construction, comrade Truong Chinh was the “General Secretary of innovation.” With a far-sighted vision, sharp and sensitive theoretical thinking and vivid practical experience, comrade Truong Chinh soon recognized the trend of the times, the reality of the country, the requirements and aspirations of the people and proactively proposed to the Politburo the policy of national innovation.
In the warm atmosphere of the days before the traditional Lunar New Year, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong kindly asked about the living conditions, study and work of relatives and families of General Secretary Le Duan and General Secretary Truong Chinh; shared some features of the country's situation, the great achievements that have been made and the work that our entire Party, people and army are striving to accomplish, about the Party's will - the people's heart - the country's situation, how to promote the strength of great national unity, multiply trust and consensus in the whole society, promote the talent and creativity of the youth, for the sustainable development of the country, for the increasingly better life of the people...General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong wished the relatives and families of General Secretary Le Duan and General Secretary Truong Chinh good health, happiness, and success in the new year, continuing to promote family traditions and achievements, constantly striving to study and work well, and contributing the most to the Fatherland and people./.
