EU could use rapid reaction force for first time this year
This year the European Union (EU) may use its rapid reaction forces - battle groups - in one of the crisis areas, EU Foreign Affairs Commissioner Federica Mogherini said.

"In the coming months we will be able to deploy a battle group. I expect progress from the expert committee this month," she said, speaking in Sofia at a conference on European security policy.
"We see many theaters where they (combatant groups) can change the situation for global peace and security, which is our common security concern," Ms Magerini said.
