Defender Pham Xuan Manh auctioned off the shirt he wore at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship Finals. The entire proceeds of 330 million VND were sent to charity funds.

During the busy days of preparing for Lunar New Year, midfielder Pham Xuan Manh put aside family matters to participate in a fundraising event to raise funds for charity.

Specifically, the young player of SLNA sent the shirt he wore at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship Finals to auction. The shirt, signed by all members of the Vietnam U23 team, was purchased by the Nghe An Association in Birmingham (UK) for 10,000 pounds (equivalent to about 330 million VND). Xuan Manh used all of this money for charity.

Xuan Manh returned to his family after his achievements with U23 Vietnam at the 2018 U23 Asian Cup.

After receiving the money from selling the jerseys, Xuan Manh and the Yen Thanh Charity Club visited Yen Thanh General Hospital to visit and give gifts to 130 inpatients during the Lunar New Year.

After Xuan Manh, goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung is also auctioning off the gloves he used at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship Finals. The starting price is 5 million VND and the auction will run until February 25.

The proceeds from this auction will be used by Bui Tien Dung to support athlete Do Hoang Quan, a former SEA Games champion who is fighting rectal cancer.

Do Hoang Quan is a Billiards athlete who won the gold medal in the men's doubles 9-ball Pool event at the 25th SEA Games. He was also ranked 32nd in the world.

After the miracle in China, stories about the behavior of the U23 Vietnam players towards their compatriots in difficult circumstances made Coach Park Hang-seo's students continue to "score points" in the hearts of fans.
