“We need more tanks and less analysis centers, we have enough analysis centers,” said Mr. Moravetski.

The Polish prime minister said the weapons were "very important in the fight against IS or against a traditional opponent like Russia".

Talk of a seemingly imminent threat from Russia is periodically raised by Western politicians, often from the Baltic states and Poland.

Meanwhile, Moscow has repeatedly stressed that Russia will never attack any NATO country.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said: NATO is well aware that Russia has no plans to attack anyone, but they just use that as a pretext to deploy additional military equipment and battalions near Russia's borders.
