Swedish photographer John Wilhelm lets his children express his playful ideas in each photo.

John Wilhelm, a 38-year-old father of four, lives in Winterthur, Switzerland, with his wife and four children (three girls and one boy). Photography has always been an important part of John’s life. His father was a prolific photographer and founder of at least two local photography associations. So he grew up surrounded by cameras, magazines, lenses, homemade camera bags, darkrooms and fun weddings.

John had never been interested in film, but when he first held a digital camera in his hands, everything changed. John began a long journey with photography, techniques, experiences, and eventually software products.

In February 2011, John decided to step beyond the boundaries of conventional photography into the world of photoshop and 3D tools.

His wife and children became models in John's works.

The father of four records activities and fun, humorous moments in his family's daily life.

John's children were cooperative and "acted out" each of their father's ideas.

In his personal introduction on his personal page, John said his major is information technology but photography is his passion.

"I want to bring magic to life, with the help of photos, photoshop techniques and 3D software. I call myself a photo addict because in fact, for me, photography is more than a normal passion. It is an obsession," John shared.

Not only known as a talented photographer, John is also a close and loving father.
