179 people died in traffic accidents during 6 days of Tet holiday

The National Traffic Safety Committee said that during the 6-day Lunar New Year holiday, there were 231 accidents nationwide, killing 179 people and injuring 186 people.

According to a quick report from the National Traffic Safety Committee, on February 19 (the 4th day of Tet), there were 35 traffic accidents nationwide, including 29 traffic accidents and 6 road traffic collisions, killing 24 people and injuring 37.

Local traffic police forces have patrolled, controlled, detected and handled 1,665 cases of traffic safety violations, imposed fines of VND310 million, detained 422 violating vehicles and 186 documents of various types, and revoked 101 driving licenses.
