Localities celebrate Tet tree planting in the spring of Mau Tuat 2018

*Responding to President Ho Chi Minh's call "Spring is the season for tree planting", on the morning of February 21, in Nghia Long commune,Nghia Dan districtLaunching the Tet tree planting festival of Mau Tuat spring 2018.

Accordingly, Nghia Dan district has directed localities, agencies, units, and schools in the district to seriously implement the Tet tree planting movement.

According to the plan, in 2018, Nghia Dan district strives to plant 750 hectares of concentrated forest and 4,000 - 5,000 scattered trees.

*Immediately after the launching ceremony, the leadersQuynh Luu districtand the forces planted nearly 300 black star trees and royal poinciana trees at Quynh Giang Secondary School and along the inter-commune road from Quynh Giang (Quynh Luu) to Dien Doai commune (Dien Chau).

Responding to this year's Tree Planting Festival, according to the plan, Quynh Luu will plant 1 million scattered trees and plant 500 hectares of spring forest. To complete the plan, the district has assigned specific targets to each unit, mobilizing people to actively plant trees to ensure quality, and each tree will survive.

*The launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" in the spring of Mau Tuat 2018 wasAnh Son districtheld in village 9, Tuong Son commune.

According to the plan, Anh Son will plant over 20,000 trees. To ensure a high survival rate, the district requires localities to select suitable and quality tree varieties; organize tree planting according to the plan to increase income, create a green, clean landscape, and protect the environment; and assign specific tree planting targets to each commune and town.

In 2018, Anh Son district strives to plant 1,500 hectares of concentrated forests, over 100,000 scattered trees; take good care of and protect over 35,000 hectares of existing forests.

After the launching ceremony, 21/21 communes and towns in the district will simultaneously plant trees in early spring with a competitive spirit; contributing to the task of economic development, poverty reduction, and increasing income for people.

*At the Square "Rear to the front line",Tan Ky districtorganized the launch of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho".

This year, Tan Ky will plant 30,000 scattered trees, plant 500 hectares of spring forest, with the motto of taking care of each tree planted, ensuring its survival.

Launching the Tree Planting Festival "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" in 2018, the district requested communes and towns to promote propaganda about the purpose and meaning of planting trees and protecting the ecological environment.

*At the historical site of Qua Son Temple, Boi Son commune,Do Luong districtorganized the tree planting launch ceremony in early spring 2018. This year, the Qua Son Temple Festival will be held from January 18 to 21, so the tree planting is even more meaningful.

This time, Do Luong district organized the planting of trees in the Temple grounds to provide shade, protect the environment, and prevent erosion; gradually building Qua Son Temple into a spiritual destination for tourists.

According to the plan, in the spring of 2018, Do Luong district will plant 500 hectares of forest with raw materials mainly being cajuput trees.

*In Chau Nga commune,Quy Chau districtheld the launching ceremony of the 2018 Mau Tuat Spring Tree Planting Festival.

The new feature this year is that Quy Chau district has proactively prevented and fought forest fires and illegal deforestation since the beginning of the year to prevent and reduce the number of violations in forest exploitation and deforestation; managed and used forests and forestry land sustainably and effectively; harmoniously combined economic benefits, protection and environmental protection.

In response to this year's Tree Planting Festival, Quy Chau has assigned each commune and town to plant 200 trees or more; for agencies and schools, depending on the actual conditions of the unit's campus, to arrange implementation; strive to plant forests to reach the target of 1,600 hectares, plant 125,000 scattered trees of all kinds; increase forest coverage to 76.9%.

Nam Dan district has over 7,000 hectares of concentrated forest, tens of millions of scattered trees, and fruit trees of high economic value.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, Nam Dan organized the planting of 1,500 acacia and black star trees at Len Doi forest in hamlet 3, Khanh Son commune, with the determination to achieve the goal of planting 250 hectares of concentrated forest, 1 million scattered trees, towards greening bare hills, creating a green-clean-beautiful ecological environment and rapidly increasing forest coverage.

The Party Committee and Command of the Nghe An Border Guard have mobilized all cadres, soldiers and employees to enthusiastically participate in planting trees, afforestation, fruit trees, timber trees, windbreak trees to protect sea dykes, prevent soil erosion, plant trees in agencies, units, hamlets along rural roads, coastal areas, border areas, vacant land, bare hills... suitable to the conditions of each unit and locality.

Each officer and soldier plants at least 2 trees; at the same time, units proactively coordinate with agencies, departments and localities to organize the planting, care and protection of trees in the stationed area, prevent illegal logging, forest burning and exploitation, and combine this with preserving a clean and green environment.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, officers and soldiers of the provincial Border Guard, students and local people planted 350 new fruit trees, shade trees and wave-blocking casuarina trees.

On this occasion, officers and soldiers of units on the two border lines of the province also responded to the tree planting movement in early spring of Mau Tuat 2018.

Responding to President Ho Chi Minh's call, Thai Hoa town has planted and cared for thousands of trees of all kinds every year. In 2018, continuing the motto "planting trees that grow well", Thai Hoa plans to plant over 10,000 new scattered trees, 70 hectares of forest; resolutely not to let deforestation occur; do a good job of forest protection and conservation; increase the coverage to 30.4% according to the Resolution of the Town People's Council.
