Continue to make breakthroughs in the development of Transport
(Baonghean.vn) - Vice Chairman Huynh Thanh Dien hopes that the transport sector units will continue to make contributions and create breakthroughs in the development of the province's transport sector.
On the evening of February 26, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to welcome the beginning of the year of Mau Tuat 2018 with agencies and units in the field of transport of the Central and local levels located in the province. Attending the meeting was comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
In 2017, although there were still many difficulties such as lack of capital, obstacles in site clearance, material sources, changes in policies, etc., the Department of Transport made efforts to focus on overcoming difficulties, advising the province, seeking the help of the Government, ministries, central branches, mobilizing economic sectors, attracting many capital sources, directing strongly, coordinating with all levels and branches to deploy investment in the construction of many large, technically complex traffic works and some works achieved good progress, had a spreading effect, and were the driving force for the socio-economic development of the province.
Estimated output of investment in construction of transport works invested by the Department of Transport in 2017 is: 1,000 billion VND; Disbursement is estimated at 1,230.7 billion VND.

In which, the traffic project connecting N5 Road of the Southeast Economic Zone to Hoa Son, Do Luong has been completed and put into operation; the overpass at the intersection of Highway 48E with the North-South Railway and Highway 1, Dai Hue Mountain Ecotourism Road, etc. Completed the procedural documents, worked with the Central Ministries and branches to have a list of using government bond capital and state budget for the period 2016 - 2020 for the projects: Traffic road connecting Vinh - Cua Lo (phase 1); traffic road connecting Highway 1A Thai Hoa town; Muong Xen - Ta Do - Khe Kien road; coastal road section Cua Lo - Cua Hoi; LRAMP project;...
Along with that, the State management of transportation has had positive changes in both quality and quantity in management, operation, service and achieved outstanding results compared to before. Types of transportation: road, air, rail, inland waterway are maintained and developed, basically meeting the travel needs of the people.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien informed about the outstanding results achieved by the province in 2018, including the great contribution of the transport sector with the remarkable development of traffic and transportation infrastructure, creating momentum and premise for socio-economic development and investment attraction of the province.
Emphasizing that 2018 is a pivotal year for implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels, the province has set a goal of more comprehensive and higher development. Accordingly, in parallel with taking care of socio-economic development, the province is interested in directing administrative reform. Notably, the province will deploy the construction of pilot models in 7 units, including the Department of Transport.
Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien hopes that units of the transport sector will continue to strive and make efforts to overcome difficulties to work with the province to improve the quality and progress of key projects, manage the state and strengthen the work of ensuring traffic safety and order; continue to create breakthroughs in developing transport infrastructure, contributing to the overall development of the province.
Affirming that the Provincial People's Committee will create the most favorable conditions and focus on removing difficulties for businesses, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien hopes that state management units as well as transport enterprises will contribute to orienting the development of transport in the province.
