Minh Thanh (Yen Thanh) received the title of commune meeting new rural standards.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 27, Minh Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) held a ceremony to receive the title of commune meeting new rural standards. Comrades Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nghia Hieu - Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development attended the ceremony.
Over the past 7 years, thanks to proposing appropriate solutions and roadmaps, strictly implementing instructions from superiors, especially clearly identifying the reality to choose the focus of implementing sustainable new rural construction, the rural appearance in Minh Thanh has continuously improved.

The whole commune has mobilized nearly 284 billion VND to build the new rural area; of which, the people contributed more than 100 billion VND. The whole commune has asphalted and hardened more than 25.6 km of commune and inter-commune roads; solidified 33.5 km of canals; 82% of agricultural land area is actively irrigated. Average income per capita reached over 35.8 million VND/year. By the end of 2017, Minh Thanh had basically met 19/19 criteria. On November 28, 2017, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee signed a decision to recognize Minh Thanh commune as meeting new rural standards.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised and appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Minh Thanh commune in the new rural construction movement. Continue to promote responsibility, raise awareness of the entire political system and people to maintain and improve the quality of the achieved new rural criteria; Focus on planning management and organization of planning implementation seriously and methodically, creating conditions for sustainable development; Focus on production development, promote cooperation, joint ventures and associations in product value chain production to improve people's lives and incomes, strive to build Minh Thanh into a model new rural commune.

On this occasion, comrade Dinh Viet Hong awarded the Certificate of Recognition of the commune meeting the NTM standards and the province's reward to the officials and people of Minh Thanh, a welfare project worth 500 million VND; 4 collectives and 4 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of Nghe An joining hands to build NTM in the period 2016-2020; 5 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Yen Thanh movement joining hands to build NTM in the period 2011-2017 were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the District People's Committee.
