(Baonghean.vn) - On February 28, according to a private source of Nghe An Newspaper, the authorities are reviewing compliance with the law on mineral activities in Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, and Hung Nguyen districts.

Sources said that the total reserves of sand and gravel in the Lam River basin are estimated at about 40 million m3.; tmining capacitylicensed by the competent authorityat present is over 380 thousand m3/year.

However, through testingjobbusinessinwharves in Thanh Chuong and Nam Dan districtsHung Nguyen in 2017 showed that the total volumesand and gravelTax-declared business up to over 1.16 million m3, 3 times the licensed capacity, accounting for 1/7.5 of the licensed mining reserves.

Specifically, the volume of sand and gravel declared for tax by each locality is as follows: Thanh Chuong is 135,859 m3; Nam Dan 332,377 m3; Hung Nguyen 469,153 m3; Vinh City 225,635 m3.
