According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trong Son, Head of the PC45 Investigation Police Department, Provincial Police, the unit is investigating many cases of fraud of billions of dong in "job-running".

Most recently, at 4:00 p.m. on February 28, the Investigation Police Agency (PC45), Gia Lai Provincial Police, executed an order to temporarily detain suspect Nguyen Duc De (born in 1971), residing at 59 Ly Chinh Thang Street, Chi Lang Ward, Pleiku City, to investigate the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property.

The investigation agency, Gia Lai Provincial Police, executed an order to temporarily detain and search Nguyen Duc De's home.

According to information from the investigation agency, Nguyen Duc De, also known as Nguyen Thanh Muoi, claimed to be an officer of the Department of Home Affairs of Gia Lai province, was able to apply for a job in the education and security sectors and was able to rotate jobs in several sectors in Gia Lai province.

During the period from August 2014 to April 2017, Nguyen Duc De received a total of 1.6 billion VND from 17 individuals. Among them, some transacted directly with De, some through a broker, Tran Truong Giang (residing at 41 Au Co Street, Thang Loi Ward, Pleiku City).

The amount of money that De received was from 100 to 250 million VND depending on each job. After conducting the investigation, the PC45 Investigation Police Agency, Gia Lai Provincial Police initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and at the same time temporarily detained the accused Nguyen Duc De to investigate the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property.

At the same time, the Investigation Police Agency, Gia Lai Provincial Police are also investigating the job fraud of Vo Thi Cam Thuy (born in 1985), residing in Group 5, Thong Nhat Ward, Pleiku City.

Although she was only a grocery seller, Thuy introduced herself as having a close relationship with the local police leadership, and was able to get a job in the industry. In 2017, Thuy received a total of more than 2.7 billion VND from 4 individuals. Currently, the investigation agency is consolidating the case file.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trong Son, Head of the Investigation Police Department PC45, Gia Lai Provincial Police, said that currently, the situation of job fraud is quite complicated in almost all districts and towns of Gia Lai.

Fraudsters often use the same trick of introducing themselves as officials, or acquaintances with leaders of the police or education sectors, who are capable of getting jobs. However, in reality, these sectors all use exams to select officials, so people should be vigilant.

"Recruitment into the police force is publicly announced. There are only two cases, one is university entrance exams, the other is re-recruitment during military service. These two cases are widely publicized, and no individual has the ability to apply to join the police force," Colonel Son emphasized.

According to the Chief of the PC45 Investigation Police Department, the arrangement of positions in other sectors and the recruitment of civil servants are also made public; the annual rotation of teachers has a quota. Therefore, people should not believe in the introductions of the subjects.
