Electric cars can travel 480km on a single charge
Jaguar's first electric vehicle, the I-PACE, has been officially unveiled globally online and will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6, 2018.
Ralf Speth, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, said that I-PACE is the newest member of the PACE family with smart new generation AI technology, zero emissions, zero CO2, zero radioactive dust.
The design of this 5-seat SUV still retains the original concept quite similar to the coupe line, but is further inspired by the Jaguar C-X75 supercar, including details such as curved front wheel covers, unique curves, muscular car sides, seductive waistline and large 22-inch wheels.
The car is equipped with Jaguar Land Rover's new matrix LED technology, adding sophistication with streamlined headlights integrating the signature Jaguar J-shape and a pair of turn signals that curve closely on both sides.

Ian Hoban, Jaguar I-PACE Project Director, affirmed that for I-PACE owners, the hassle of refueling is no longer there. Instead, after a night of charging, they wake up every morning with a car full of energy.
Accordingly, the I-PACE is equipped with a 90kWh Lithium-ion battery pack made up of 432 cells, so it can travel up to 480km (according to WLTP standards - the world standard for measuring fuel, energy, distance and vehicle emissions).
Users can charge from 0 to 80% battery capacity in just 45 minutes with a DC fast charger (100kW) or can achieve enough battery capacity for a distance of 100km in 15 minutes of charging.
The car is equipped with a series of intelligent range optimization features and a smartphone application that helps I-PACE drivers not worry about monitoring battery charging or considering the distance the car can travel.

The luggage compartment has a capacity of 656 liters, which is larger than most mid-size SUVs and can be increased to 1,453 liters when the rear seats are folded flat. |
Jaguar has tested the I-PACE in a range of hot and cold weather conditions, operating down to -40°C to show it can handle any conditions.
The combination of all-wheel drive, 400PS and 696Nm of torque ensures the I-PACE delivers powerful electric performance in all conditions.
The car is capable of accelerating and reaching a speed of 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds, Mike Cross, Chief Engineer of Jaguar shared./.
