This year, Vietnam has two new billionaires, Hoa Phat Chairman - Tran Dinh Long and Thaco Chairman - Tran Ba ​​Duong.

Forbes magazine (USA) has just announced the list of world billionaires in 2018. Accordingly, this year Vietnam has 4 representatives owning billion-dollar assets. They are Vingroup Chairman - Pham Nhat Vuong, VietJet Air CEO - Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Hoa Phat Chairman - Tran Dinh Long and Thaco Chairman - Tran Ba ​​Duong.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao and Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong continue to be named in Forbes' list.

This is the 6th consecutive year that Mr. Vuong has been on this list, with assets of 4.3 billion USD, ranking 499th in the world, an increase of 1.9 billion USD compared to last year. He was first honored by Forbes in 2013, with 1.5 billion USD, ranking 974th.

For Ms. Thao, this is the second time she has appeared on the list of world billionaires, with assets of 3.1 billion USD, ranking 766th. Ms. Thao was a member of the Board of Directors of several commercial banks in Vietnam before joining the Ho Chi Minh City Development Bank (HDBank) as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. She is currently the CEO of VietJet Air.
