Anh Son is a mountainous district in Nghe An province, but it has quite a few factories, such as the Song Lam Sugar Factory, the Song Lam 2 Cement Factory, and the Hoa Son Cassava Factory. In particular, since the Song Lam 2 Cement Factory began operations, industry and trade in the area have flourished. In 2017, the district attracted many projects and received approval from the Provincial People's Committee for investment, with a total investment of nearly 2,500 billion VND. Notable projects include the MDF fiberboard production project in the Tri Le Industrial Park in Khai Son commune with a total investment of 1,754.14 billion VND, scheduled to begin construction in April 2018. Once operational, it will exploit the forestry potential in Anh Son and neighboring districts; and the integrated commercial and service center project in Anh Son town with a total investment of 20.065 billion VND...
Mr. Dang Thanh Tung, Secretary of the Anh Son District Party Committee, stated: Recognizing that Anh Son is a mountainous area where attracting investment is very difficult, the leadership has focused on administrative reform, urging departments to help investors clear land as quickly as possible and hand over clean land, thereby ensuring investors can confidently engage in production.
In the fertile land of Nghia Dan district, new factories and constructions are springing up, such as the 9-hectare greenhouse for growing vegetables and flowers of the TH Group, the Nui Tien Fruit Processing Plant, and the Nghe An Wood Processing Plant. These projects are creating jobs for thousands of local workers and contributing hundreds of billions of VND to the state budget annually. Along with the development of these factories, satellite cooperatives in the area are also developing to serve the main projects, such as the 1/5 Nghia Dan Fruit Cooperative and the Phu Quy Cooperative (Nghia Hieu, Nghia Dan)...

It can be affirmed that the current economic milestones in Nghe An are closely linked to the investment projects the province has attracted in recent years. Budget revenue reached over 12,000 billion VND, and export taxes grew strongly (over 1,500 billion VND) thanks to imported goods serving investment projects such as TH and VSIP. Through contacts, meetings, and direct interactions with embassies, banks, corporations, and general companies, many projects have come to Nghe An, laying the foundation for development. The Vissai Group's projects, the Song Lam Cement Plant, the Nghi Thiet Grinding Station, the Hoa Sen Group's factories, the VSIP industrial and urban service zone, the Bai Lu and Cua Hoi resorts, Royal Foods, etc., are all creating a foundation for the province's socio-economic development.
Nghe An province is currently experiencing strong industrial development, focusing on processing industries, supporting industries, and industries exploiting the potential strengths of agriculture. In 2018, the province aimed to maximize the capacity of existing factories, striving to launch new products by the end of the year, such as expanding the Hoa Sen Steel sheet production line, the Anh Son MDF wood factory, the Hai Chau confectionery factory, and promoting projects within VSIP, Tan Thang cement factory, etc.
Several new projects are being promoted and are creating new expectations, such as: the Thai Hoa Waste Treatment Plant in Thai Hoa town, implemented by Vietnam Energy and Environment Joint Stock Company; the Hieu Market complex (Thai Hoa), invested by Ha Huy Joint Stock Company; the Nghi Loc Garment Factory in Nghi Lam, Nghi Loc, invested by Hanoi Textile and Garment Corporation; the Khanh Son Tunnel Brick Factory of Trung Do Joint Stock Company; the brewery of Massan Group; the solar power plant of Centerlink Holdings Group; the second phase of the Vingroup entertainment complex; and the high-tech agricultural project of FLC Group in Tan Ky...
