Prof. Dr. Bui Van Ga, Vice Chairman of the State Council for Professor Titles, said that among the 95 candidate profiles that meet the standards for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor that must be "suspended" for re-inspection, they will be divided into 2 categories for accurate and thorough inspection.

It is known that in the list of 95 candidates whose recognition of the title of professor and associate professor is "suspended", there are many managers that the public is particularly interested in, such as candidate Nguyen Thi Kim Tien - Minister of Health, candidate Professor Le Quan - Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, candidate Associate Professor Truong Xuan Cu - Deputy Head of the Northwest Steering Committee, candidate Associate Professor Ha Anh Duc - Secretary of the Minister of Health, candidate Associate Professor Nguyen Hung Long - Deputy Director of the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health), candidate Associate Professor Le Quang Minh - Director of the Ha Nam Department of Health, candidate Associate Professor Trinh Thanh Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Technical Economic Sectors of the Ministry of Science and Technology...

The reason these 95 candidate profiles are "suspended" is because they do not fully meet the required standards, need further verification, or have complaints or denunciations.

Speaking to reporters, Prof. Dr. Bui Van Ga, Vice Chairman of the State Council for Professor Titles (CDGSNN), said that the CDGSNN Council has also assigned a Working Group, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education and Training, to work directly with relevant agencies to verify further documents. The State Council for Professor Titles has sent a dispatch requesting universities and relevant agencies to provide specific documents and evidence.

Professor Ga said that in these 95 files, the inspector divided them into 2 types:

The first,This is a type of document that needs further verification about where the teaching hours are? which class? transcript? who is the supervisor of the graduate student? which school? Or if there is a teaching contract with the schools, what is the contract like, how is the contract terminated... The Ministry's Inspectorate Working Group will re-inspect to ensure the truth. If it is true, the CDGSNN Council will make it public for the society to know.

Monday,Complaints about documents, construction quality, teaching hours, etc. will also be thoroughly re-inspected.

Mr. Ga said that the results of the above two review cases will be reported to the Government in the upcoming session.

Previously, the Government Standing Committee requested the Minister of Education and Training, the Chairman of the State Council for Professor Titles and the Title Council to seriously and deeply learn from experience because there are still many candidate profiles that do not fully meet the standards, and need to be further verified in the 2017 round of consideration for recognition of meeting the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor.

Minister Phung Xuan Nha must review and decide to recognize the qualifications for the title of professor or associate professor for candidates who have fully met the prescribed standards and is responsible for these records.

In cases where the dossier does not fully meet the prescribed standards, requires further verification or there are complaints or denunciations, the Government Standing Committee requests the Minister of Education and Training to directly direct a thorough review to ensure compliance with regulations. The Minister of Education and Training is responsible to the Prime Minister for the recognition and review.
