On the afternoon of March 9, driver Nguyen Minh Hung (38 years old, from Khanh Hoa)driving a car from An Giang province to BOT toll station T2 on National Highway 91. Here, the driverAsk the ticket booth staff for the 100m section you use (about 2,000 VND) to then turn onto National Highway 80 towards Kien Giang.
The station staff explained that they only issued tickets for the whole route, but the driverdisagreed and parked the car here. Nearly an hour later, the Traffic Police and Thot Not District Police came to make a record to fine this driver for the crime of not obeying the stop sign for more than 5 minutes.Driver Hung signed and paid a fine of 150,000 VND on the spot.
In addition, Thot Not District Police also sent a notice inviting this driver to the headquarters for questioning because on February 27, he also drove the car above and parked it in toll lane number 6 of BOT station T2 for many hours even though the station staff had opened the barrier. Driver Hung said he was busy with urgent personal matters so he signed a notice to come to work on March 19.

This is the first case of administrative penalty after the Vietnam Road Administration requested the installation of signs prohibiting vehicles from stopping for more than 5 minutes at BOT toll stations nationwide in January.
According to Decree 46 regulating "Administrative sanctions for violations in the field of road and railway traffic", in Article 5, drivers who "stop, park, or make a U-turn in violation of regulations causing traffic congestion" will be fined from 800,000 to 1,200,000 VND.
Car drivers who "fail to comply with orders or instructions of traffic controllers or traffic inspectors" will be fined from 1,200,000 to 2,000,000 VND.
In case a car driver intentionally disobeys the police's orders, intentionally stops or parks his vehicle to obstruct or cause traffic jams, leading to serious consequences, he will also be held criminally responsible for the crime of "Violating regulations on road traffic participation" in Article 260 of the 2015 Penal Code, and can be imprisoned for 3 to 10 years.
