Rumors about Hoang Vu Samson being released by Thai League 1 champions Buriram seem to have come true.

In the latest development, the official Facebook page of the capital team has just announced that the striker born in 1988 will officially return to Hanoi FC on March 17.

Three days earlier, the press in Thailand and Vietnam had reported that Samson had left Buriram because he did not meet professional requirements (playing only 33 minutes/2 matches). However, representatives of the top football teams in the neighboring country did not confirm this information.

Currently, there is still no exact information about whether Samson will be able to register for the first leg of V.League 2018 or not. Because March 6 is the deadline for registering domestic and foreign players to participate in the 2018 season.

However, no matter what, the Nigerian striker will certainly have his 10th consecutive year playing in Vietnam - the country that has turned him into a true goal-scoring machine with fame and fortune.

As for Hanoi FC, the presence of Samson will significantly increase the team's strength. Currently, coach Chu Dinh Nghiem only has Ganiyu Oseni and two domestic players Pham Van Thanh and Ngan Van Dai. The latter is often used on the wing when wearing the Saigon FC shirt in past seasons.
