Police University does not accept candidates with dyed hair or who fail a grade
Sharing at the "2018 Admissions and Career Guidance Consultation Day" held on March 11 in Hanoi, Major Bui Thanh Dat, Head of the Planning and Training Cooperation Department, General Department of Politics of the People's Public Security, Ministry of Public Security, outlined the rules for admission to this industry.
According to Major Dat, specific targets for each school and industry are being approved by the Ministry of Public Security.
This year, the Ministry of Public Security has decided not to organize civilian training at the People's Police Academy and the People's Security Academy. The Fire Prevention and Fighting University will still provide civilian training.
Female enrollment is conducted according to separate quotas at a rate of 10% of the total quota of each school according to each field of study. The number of female preliminary candidates is not limited. For high school students, candidates must not be married and have no biological children.

According to the procedure, starting from March 10, the police of districts and towns will organize the reception of registration information and preliminary selection for candidates. Candidates must come directly to register and bring the original or notarized copies of household registration papers, school records, birth certificates with ID cards, or citizen identification cards.
For preliminary selection, candidates must meet the following conditions: Age for high school students is not over 20, ethnic minority students are not over 22 as of the year of application. Cultural level of candidates must have graduated from high school, with average or higher academic performance in the years of study recorded in the transcript.
The police force does not pre-select students who have failed a grade in high school or equivalent. Regarding moral qualities and political standards, candidates must have good conduct or better in high school.
Regarding health standards, men must be 1.62 m tall, women must be 1.58 m tall or taller and not more than 1.95 m. Weight for men must be 47 kg or taller, for women must be 45 kg or taller.
Candidates are not addicted to drugs or drug precursors; have normal skin and hair color; do not have skin pigmentation disorders; do not have tattoos on the skin, including tattoo marks on the skin; do not have pierced ears, nostrils or other areas on the body to wear jewelry; do not have chronic diseases or sexually transmitted diseases.
Major Dat informed that candidates who register for the preliminary selection for the police force will not register for the preliminary selection for national defense schools or military sectors. When registering for admission to police universities, candidates will not be able to register for admission to intermediate police schools.
