In order to prevent home fans from lighting flares, Hai Phong Club has increased security measures unprecedented in the V.League.

In order to ensure absolute security for the upcoming key match between HAGL and Hai Phong FC at Lach Tray Stadium, the match organizers and the Hai Phong team have carefully prepared plans, including controlling people at the stadium entrance.

Mr. Bui Hoang Viet - Head of the organizing committee of the match at Lach Tray Stadium said: "We will tighten security, not allowing Hai Phong fans to light flares on the field. Security forces will control people as soon as fans enter the field. Female fans will also be checked by female security. We will definitely not allow the situation of setting off flares like at Hang Day Stadium recently."

Hai Phong Club is determined not to let fans light fireworks in the match with HAGL.

Searches were almost non-existent in the previous V.League tournaments, however this led to fans, including Hai Phong fans, often bypassing security forces by putting fireworks inside their bodies or carrying other belongings into the stadium.

Recently, flares from Hai Phong fans caused chaos in the opening match of the Hai Phong team when they played away at Hanoi FC. In that match, the away fans continuously threw flares onto the field, forcing the referee to end the match early.

The consequence of the above extreme action caused Hai Phong Football Club and the Hang Day Stadium match organizers to be fined 20,000,000 VND each by the VFF Disciplinary Board for allowing fans to bring and use flares in the stadium.

The match between Hai Phong and HAGL taking place at 5:00 p.m. on March 17 is also receiving great attention from fans of the Port City. As soon as the organizers opened ticket sales, it created a fever when too many people wanted to buy tickets to enter the stadium, so the organizers' work of controlling flares became more difficult.
