Tuan Anh out for at least six weeks due to knee injury
Test results in Hanoi today showed that the HALG star suffered two injuries to his knee during the 1-1 draw with Hai Phong on March 17.
"Tuan Anh suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury and meniscus damage," HAGL football team leader Nguyen Tan Anh shared on the afternoon of March 18, right after receiving the results of the injury examination of the home team's star player in Hanoi.
Tonight, doctors will perform another CT scan on the midfielder from Thai Binh before making a final conclusion on the severity of this injury. "Most likely, Tuan Anh will have to rest for at least six weeks," Mr. Tan Anh added.

Nguyen Tuan Anh's injury on March 17 stemmed from a collision with teammate Kim Jin-seo, when he ran back to support the defense, leading to him having to leave the field in the 20th minute. The HAGL midfielder lay on the field, continuously hitting the ground with his hands, signaling that he was in a lot of pain.
After being treated by the doctors, Tuan Anh had to leave the field on a stretcher. He then sat in the HAGL technical area. And although he tried to contain his disappointment, there were times when he burst into tears when watching his teammates play.
Tuan Anh is considered the best player of the first batch of HAGL Arsenal JMG Academy. However, the midfielder from Thai Binh was unlucky, constantly injured and absent from important tournaments. He was injured while playing in Japan, missing the chance to participate in both the AFF Cup and the most recent SEA Games, and also missed the entire 2017 V-League season. Tuan Anh has just recovered and has only regained 90% of his form.
"We can only say that Tuan Anh is very unlucky because he has had too many injuries. Like yesterday, he got injured because of a collision with a teammate. At the beginning of the season, HAGL tried to get rid of Tuan Anh's bad luck by changing his shirt number from number 8 to number 46, but it doesn't seem to be effective," said team leader Tan Anh.
In yesterday's match against Hai Phong, HAGL lost Tuan Anh early in the first half and conceded the first goal in the 49th minute. But Mr. Duc's team still came away with a point thanks to a beautiful free kick from captain Xuan Truong that equalized in the 85th minute.
After the first two matches of V-League 2018, HAGL has two points with two draws. In the opening match, the team from the mountain town of Pleiku was held to a 0-0 draw by Binh Duong at home.
