President Xi wants to build a China-led international order

(Baonghean.vn) - On March 20, Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his desire to build an international order led by his country, amid growing concerns that the Chinese leader intends to expand his influence not only domestically but also abroad.

In his closing speech at the 13th National People's Congress, President Xi Jinping emphasized: "China will continue to actively participate in reforming and building the global governance system."

Xi Jinping, who was re-elected as China's president by the National People's Congress on March 17, also pledged to step up efforts to elevate the country's military forces to "world-class" status.

Also in his speech, Chinese President Xi Jinping declared that the country's development does not pose a threat to any other country. "China will never seek hegemony or expansion. Only those accustomed to threatening others will see other countries as threats. The sincere desire and practical actions of the Chinese people to contribute to the peace and development of mankind should not be misunderstood or distorted. Justice will prevail," Xi said. China will continue on the path of peaceful development and pursue a strategy of opening up for mutual benefit, he said.

According to him, China strives to maintain international fairness and justice, and Beijing advocates that all issues in the world should be resolved through consultation. He also stressed that China will not impose its views on other countries./.
