Do Luong: 35 million VND car wash to raise funds for "Loving Heart"
(Baonghean.vn) - Over the past month, Do Luong District Youth Union has organized many creative models to raise funds to support disadvantaged children and families with meritorious services, including a motorbike washing model. Up to now, 11 commune youth unions in Do Luong district have organized a "Loving Heart" fundraising car washing day.
At the gate of Giang Son Dong commune headquarters, Do Luong district, on March 20, dozens of union members and young people in green union uniforms were actively washing motorbikes for customers. With their quick and responsible manner, the number of motorbikes brought by local people was increasing day by day.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Quyen - Secretary of Giang Son Dong Commune Youth Union said: Implementing the fundraising movement of the District Youth Union with "creative models", today the commune youth union organized a car wash to raise funds for "Loving Heart" to create a fund to give gifts to policy families and poor children in difficult circumstances.
Tools and machines for washing cars are brought by volunteers from the Youth Union. Each person is assigned a task, so the car washing time is shortened. The price for car washing service is 15,000 VND/time.
Ms. Lan, a motorbike owner, confided: There are many motorbike washing places in the commune, but when I heard that the Commune Youth Union organized a motorbike washing day to raise funds, I brought my motorbike there, contributing a small part to support children in difficult circumstances. Seeing the children washing their motorbikes quickly, neatly, and responsibly, I was satisfied.
In just one day, Giang Son Dong Commune's delegation washed hundreds of motorbikes, earning more than 4.6 million VND and 600,000 VND from registered donations from local people.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Luong - Secretary of Do Luong District Youth Union, from the beginning of 2018 until now, Do Luong District Youth Union has organized many "creative models" to raise funds to support poor children in difficult circumstances and families with meritorious services, the most obvious of which is the "Loving Heart" car wash fundraiser of the commune youth union bases.
By March 20, 11 commune-level youth unions in the district had organized car washes to raise funds for the "Loving Heart" fund, raising 35 million VND. With this money, the youth unions visited and supported disadvantaged children and families with meritorious services.
This is a practical activity of the Youth Union, supported by all classes of people. And in the coming time, the amount of funds raised will be even higher because many Youth Union organizations are continuing to expand this model.
